Inland Empire, CA – The Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA) proudly supports the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. On Saturday, October 26, from 10 AM to 2 PM, facilities in IEUA’s service area will open their doors to receive unwanted, unused, and expired prescription medications. This effort plays an essential role in protecting our water systems and environment. The service is FREE and anonymous. No questions asked.
The “No Drugs Down the Drain” campaign, initiated by the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts, raises awareness of improper medication disposal methods—whether flushed, poured down drains, or thrown away— and how it can lead to contamination of our water supplies. This initiative serves as a reminder that individual actions, such as disposing of medications properly, are vital to protecting public health and ensuring a clean, safe water supply for the community.
